Update: Swing and a miss! The problem came back. Stopping and starting lircd stops it, however… odd.
Getting things like this in your syslog? Lots of ‘em? Like 9 a second or so 24/7?
localhost kernel: [56474.231219] lirc_i2c: key (0×00/0×00)
Turns out I don’t need it, so I stopped lircmd. Problem solved. Anyone know what to do if [...]

Sometimes 64 bits is just 32 more bits of pain. While building the 0.19-fixes version of mythtv on an amd64 box running kubuntu from these instructions, I get a fun failure:

An upgraded mythtv rig:
Abit NF8-V Pro
1GB of RAM (2 sticks)
Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W PS
Silverstone Lascala 10 CS-SST-LC10B Case
A4Tech KB-1527R Wireless Keyboard/Mouse
Western Digital Caviar SE 250GB SATA HD
Now, what do I do with the old rig? It’s just going to lose TV cards.

All I can say is, wow. Even with the court leaning toward the EFF line of reasoning during the broadcast flag oral arguments earlier this year, I was sure the courts would side with the FCC. Though they quite clearly overstepped their bounds as Congress has never given them the power they tried to wield. [...]
So, I’ve hit an interesting wall. I can’t download files over 2GB using the MythTV web interface. Of course this isn’t the fault of MythWeb. Apache and PHP were built without Large File Support (LFS). What this means is that I’ve got to rebuild both Apache and PHP. Then I have to test to make [...]
At the moment, MythTV is sitting at this:
145 programs, using 152 GB (108 hrs 17 mins) out of 207 GB
So, it’s time to start backing some things up to DVD. It’s possible to actually make a DVD, which I’ll do later, but for now I just want to export the file and related db info. [...]
